Often referred to as French doors, these cottage pane double doors are designed to open up your home, creating a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces. The classic small-pane design allows for maximum natural light, making them ideal for patios, garden access, and living areas.
Crafted from high-quality Meranti hardwood, these heavy-duty timber double doors are built for strength, durability, and long-lasting performance. They feature 114mm engineered hardwood stiles for enhanced stability and a 180mm bottom kick plate for added protection and structural integrity—perfect for the demanding South African climate.
These wooden French-style doors are supplied without glass, giving you the flexibility to choose your preferred glazing option (clear, frosted, or safety glass). Glazing beads are included, ensuring easy installation once your glass is fitted.
A T-bar (meeting stile) is included in the price, providing proper alignment, strength, and a secure seal when the doors are closed.
This door is suitable for interior and covered exterior applications only. When used outdoors, it must be installed in a protected area with adequate overhead cover to shield it from direct sun and rain. Proper protection will help maintain the door’s appearance, stability, and long-term performance.

Should my doors be treated?
Yes, most doors are untreated unless specified.
It is recommended that doors should be treated before installation, with a penetrating wood oil, thereafter treat regularly.

Can my door be exposed to sun and rain?
We recommend that only vertical slatted doors be used as fully exposed doors, and that all other doors have some overhead cover.
What other products will I need to install my door?
You will need a frame, handle, locks and hinges to complete installation.
If you do not already have these items consider adding a frame.
When can I expect my online order to be delivered?
